On January 8th, the keys to the developer-constructed shell were handed over to SDE Group, marking the beginning of an exciting new project. With detailed plans and 3D visuals in hand, SDE Group embarked on a comprehensive internal fit-out and the construction of a new wet and dry valet bay in the external car park.
One of the major components was the installation of a 2-hour jumbo wall designed to separate the showroom from the workshop. This structural addition not only provided a necessary safety barrier but also contributed to the overall aesthetic and functional division of the space.
Within the showroom area at TrustFord Glasgow, a suite of offices was constructed. The showroom itself received a fully tiled floor, enhancing its visual appeal and durability. Complementing this upgrade was the installation of showroom lighting, carefully chosen to highlight the vehicles on display and create an inviting atmosphere for customers.
The workshop areas saw significant upgrades as well. A new canteen was established, offering a comfortable space for staff to relax and recharge. Updated washroom facilities were installed, ensuring convenience and hygiene. A new Parts Department was created to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
The centrepiece of the workshop enhancements was the construction of a massive, multi-ramp, state-of-the-art workshop, featuring a durable and sleek resin floor. This new facility is equipped to handle a high volume of work with the latest technology and equipment.
Externally, we undertook the construction of a new building from the ground up. This structure houses the new wet and dry valet bay, complete with all necessary water feed and electrical connections. This facility is designed to provide top-notch vehicle cleaning services, enhancing the overall customer experience.
The project was a collaborative effort involving the other departments within the SDE Group. SDE Interiors, SDE Industrial, and SDE Electrical all worked in harmony, alongside our trusted partners responsible for the heating and ventilation package. This teamwork ensured that every aspect of the project was executed to the highest standards.
Located in the heart of Glasgow, this site is already proving to be a huge success in the area. The comprehensive upgrades and new facilities have not only improved operational efficiency but also significantly enhanced the customer experience. As we look to the future, we are confident that this development will continue to be a valuable asset to the community and a benchmark for quality in our industry.
