The much-loved Bangers & Cash Rally is back for 2026, inviting up to 45 daring teams to hit the road on a five-day adventure
across the UK’s most scenic landscapes—all in the name of charity.
Since its launch, Bangers & Cash has already held two hugely successful rallies, raising more than £250,000 for good causes. The
2026 Lakes & Highlands Rally, brought to you by SDE Group, promises to be the biggest and boldest yet.
“We’ve taken part in the past two Bangers & Cash rallies, and both were brilliant adventures that created incredible team bonds and
memories that will last a lifetime. At SDE, we’re committed to supporting our charity partners as part of our corporate responsibility,
and we approached the Bangers & Cash team (Matt Cockayne and Becks & Co) to create a bespoke rally that anyone could join to
support these wonderful charities.” Said Ian Buckdon, SDE
Taking place from 17 – 21 September 2026, participants will drive 950 miles from Chesterfield to Whitby via the Lake District and
Scottish Highlands. Along the way, teams will transform their cars with creative themes, tackle fun challenges, and embrace the
camaraderie of life on the road—while each pledging to raise at least £2,500 for charity.

Sparkle Night Walk 2025
We were proud to take part in Ashgate Hospice’s 10th iconic Sparkle Night Walk this June, helping to raise vital funds that support patients and families across North Derbyshire. Ashgate Hospice is an independent charity based in Chesterfield, providing specialist care to people with life-limiting illnesses, as well as compassionate support to their loved ones. Their incredible work is offered entirely free of charge, thanks to the generosity of the community.
It was fantastic to see thousands of people come together, lighting up the streets of Chesterfield in memory of loved ones and in celebration of the outstanding care Ashgate provides.
We’re thrilled to share that, as a team, we raised an incredible £3,000 and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event! A huge thank you to the Ashgate fundraising team and everyone who took part and helped make the evening so special.
Cakes For Causes
In April 2025, we rolled up our sleeves and got baking for a great cause—hosting our very own #CakesForCauses bake off in support of Neuroendocrine UK, who do vital work supporting those affected by neuroendocrine cancers.
From sausage rolls to brownies, cinnamon cake and Dubai chocolate bites—we were blown away by the variety (and deliciousness) of sweet and savoury entries.
Thanks to the incredible effort and generosity of our team, we are proud to share that we raised £500 for Neuroendocrine UK.

Macmillan Coffee Morning
2024 – As a company, we’re growing in numbers more and more each year, and this year we managed to raise an outstanding £1,200, which is over £300 more than last year! Over 50% of our office contributed to baked goods, making the event a great success.
“This was my second time organising the Macmillan Coffee Morning here at SDE, and it’s a cause that’s very near and dear to our hearts. Supporting those affected by cancer – and their caregivers – matters deeply to us, so we were all more than happy to donate.”

2023 – Every year SDE Group are committed to fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support through our tasty bake sale! Last year we managed to raise the grand total of £914.
Bangers & Cash
We are proud to have completed two incredible Bangers & Cash charity events in support of Roundabout, South Yorkshire’s youth housing charity that provides shelter and support to young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
In 2019, we hit the road across Europe, finishing in Monte Carlo—and were thrilled to cross the finish line first! In 2023, we took on a six-day tour around Germany, joining forces with other amazing local businesses for a fantastic cause.
It’s been a privilege to be part of something so impactful, combining adventure, teamwork, and community spirit to help raise vital funds for young people in need. Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way—and to Roundabout for the incredible work you do every day.
