Consultation – A detailed brief and budget outline is required to understand each client’s specific needs in order to transform their space efficiently and provide effective industrial storage solutions.
Site Surveys – Our Project Consultants will conduct a detailed site survey to assess the building requirements to determine the most efficient storage solution and identify project requirements.
CAD Design – Our team will create a fully detailed 2D CAD proposal outlining all the storage systems with an optional 3D render to visualise and understand your space from a three-dimensional perspective.
Supplier Liaison – We will liaise with all suppliers to ensure each project runs smoothly and on time.
Project Management – Our dedicated Project Consultant and Contracts Manager will oversee all aspects of the project from Concept to Completion, ensuring everything runs on time and to the dedicated budget.
Programme of Works & Site Schedule – Our project management team will liaise with the client, discuss the duration of any tasks, and produce a programme of works bespoke to each installation - highlighting any key/specific dates. A fully documented brief shall be presented to the client on what works will be carried out when and where in the works area.
Our diverse range of industrial storage solutions include:
Adjustable Pallet Racking – A cost-effective solution for a standard aisle type that is configured using frames and beams, enabling forklifts and reach trucks to retrieve the palletised goods.
Narrow Aisle Racking – Provides a higher density storage system where the width of the aisles between racks are reduced.
Drive-in Pallet Racking – A compact storage system that optimises space both vertically and horizontally and maximises space by eliminating unnecessary operating aisles.
Push Back Pallet Racking – A efficient storage system allowing pallets to be automatically be moved from the rear to the front end when the pallet closest to the front is removed. This is an effective system for space saving where very little vertical space is wasted.
Live Storage Pallet Racking – A successful space saving system where each level has linear roller beds that allow goods to slide easily on a slight inclination. The system has a loading area and then an unloading area at the opposite end where the goods are transported to.
Cantilever Racking – An effective way to store long materials such as pipes, rods and timber. This can include single and double sided racks with varying weight capacities.
Shuttle Racking – A high-density structure that uses a motor-driven shuttle to place and remove pallets within the racking structure.
Mobile Pallet Racking – Eliminates the need for permanent aisles between racking units. A much more flexible system powered by an electric motor allowing access to levels as required.
Coil Racking – A robust system that allow the storage or any material rolled in coils.
All racking is installed by SEMA Approved installers.
Short Span Shelving – Cost effective, readily available, multi-purposed and easily assembled. Short Span shelving is the UK’s most popular solution for the storage of small-to-medium products. Often suitable for archive areas, click & collect areas, picking bays and parts departments.
Long Span Shelving – An efficient system for warehouse storage offering a range of shelving materials such as timber, steel or mesh. The systems range of heights, depths and widths allows customer to tailor the shelving to their specific requirements and space. The system is often used to store heavier picking products that would not be suitable for short-span shelving.
Mobile Shelving – A flexible space saving storage system that works by creating aisles when required by moving the shelving units to open up another row of storage. This is often common in industries such as healthcare and public libraries, as well as in commercial spaces for archive areas.
Multi-tier Shelving – This allows a secure storage structure designed and installed solely out of the very shelving system you would be storing under and on top of if you were to install a mezzanine floor.
The system can be implemented as a standard shelving system to begin with, with future provisions in place to allow our installation team to add storage floors above, making it much more cost effective by spreading out the costs for when the client needs it, rather than all up front! Due to the flexibility this solution offers, it is extremely popular for customers with an everchanging range of products, as the shelving can be resigned and re-purposed into alternative layouts and locations.
Our Team can offer our surveying and design services free of charge and follow the latest legal requirements whilst leasing with various local authorities, building regulation officers to ensure a multi-tier shelving system is appropriate for the client, rather than a Mezzanine Floor.
Mezzanine floors are an extremely popular method of improving a client’s storage capacity or warehouse / office space, and are often a far most cost-effective solution to expanding an existing warehouse/office, or relocating entirely.
Here at SDE Group, we design, manufacture and implement bespoke single or multi-tier mezzanine floors tailored specifically to our customer’s individual requirements. Through our experiences over the past 30 years and our other services within the business, we can offer a huge range of structures, finishes and accessories to ensure your mezzanine floor is an integral part of your operation.
Our Project Consultants and Mezzanine Floor Managers offer our surveying and design services free of charge, and follow the latest legal requirements whilst leasing with various local authorities, building regulation officers to ensure your Mezzanine Floor is designed for the future, not just the present.
SDE Group are proud to be the UK’s sole Distributor of Europe Racking, formerly known as Bosal Shelving (an automotive parts company themselves that designed and manufactured a bespoke shelving system specifically for Automotive and Parts’ wholesalers).
By offering an industry specific products, this has allowed SDE Group to work with many of the biggest names in the industry. These products include:
○ Tyre Racking
○ Exhaust Racking
○ Body Panels, Windscreens and Bumper Racking
○ Small, Medium & Large Parts Racking
For over 30 years, SDE Group have worked with such a variety of clients and partners, with each on often requiring bespoke solutions very different functions within their warehouses.
Steel partitions offer such a range of cost-effective potential applications for industrial spaces, such as:
Anti-collapse Mesh – Perhaps the most common application of steel partitioning, Anti-collapse mesh is specifically designed by our trusted suppliers to prevent products or pallets falling from a height off the back of a run of pallet racking (most commonly a single run) into a pedestrian area.
Machine Guarding Systems – Our Client’s operating within the manufacturing and engineering spaces tend to use heavy duty machinery which require an added level of segregation and security for H&S purposes. A steel security “cage” or partition provide great flexibility for this, as it can easily be adapted or relocated depending on the clients’ specific requirements.
Warehouse Partitioning – Similarly to the machine guarding system, SDE use steel partitions for our clients to allow them to create a safe, designated area for their inventory, machines, staff etc. with access often through a set of steel doors which can be locked. Other applications could be for a handrail on the edge of a mezzanine floor, creating an enclosed cage for aerosol products, or even a locker system for uniquely sized products.
Single Skin Partitions – Often used for warehouse offices or enclosed storage spaces
Double Skin Partitions – Most commonly used for offices / meeting rooms that require an added layer of privacy, although we have often used them for our partners in the Medical Industry for Clean Room Systems
It is extremely common within warehouses with high levels of Fork-Lift-Truck activity to require additional safety measures to prevent any damages to structural commodities (such as pallet racking and mezzanine columns), inventory, and most importantly people.
SDE Group provide a range of racking protection and warehouse safety solutions to comply with SEMA code of Practice. Employee safety is our number one priority within any warehouse / distribution environment, providing crucial protection for pedestrians when working in busy storage facilities to prevent vehicle collisions and racking damage.
Warehouse safety solutions help retain operational efficiency in reducing the number of pallet locations lost through damage and fork trucks out of commission through collisions which reduces repetitive maintenance costs.
We provide the following types of warehouse protection when installing your industrial storage solutions:
○ Pedestrian Handrail
○ Anti-Collapse Mesh
○ Rack-Protectors
○ Rack-Mounted Guards
○ Upright / Diamond Guards
○ Heavy-Duty Column Protection
○ Collision Barriers
○ Line Markings & Segregation
○ Height Restrictors
○ High-Sis Markers
○ Warehouse Signs
