SDE Group proudly delivered the full fit-out of a newly built unit to create a flagship Parts Plus Hub in Tamworth. Designed to serve as a major logistics and distribution centre, this project involved comprehensive structural, architectural, and compliance-led works to meet the operational needs of a high-volume automotive parts facility.

Scope of Works

Mezzanine Installation & Structural Works:

- Supplied, designed, and installed a custom two-tier mezzanine floor, enabling efficient storage across ground, first, and second levels and maximizing the usable vertical space within the building.

- All mezzanine levels were fire-rated to fully comply with Building Regulations, ensuring both safety and legal compliance.

Fire Safety & Escape Routes:

- Constructed new one-hour fire-rated staircases, forming protected escape routes to ensure safe egress from all levels of the building.

Welfare Facilities:

- Developed new welfare areas for warehouse staff, including the installation of a fully equipped staff canteen and five new unisex toilet facilities, supporting a comfortable and functional working environment.

Office Fit-Out:

- Supplied and fitted new office furniture to enhance the existing office areas, providing a professional and practical workspace for administrative staff.

Racking & Storage Systems:

- Supplied and installed multi-Systema and Tube 50 longspan shelving, sourced from leading European racking manufacturers, to support large-scale parts storage and inventory management.

Vertical Transport:

- Installed a heavy-duty goods lift to enable efficient and safe movement of stock between the mezzanine levels.

External Works:

- Constructed new, secure external bin stores to support site hygiene and waste management protocols.
