SDE Electrical was entrusted with designing, supplying, and installing electrical services for GSF Car Parts in Stockton, involving the installation of 12no high powered charging stations.

This project involved the installation of public electric vehicle charging infrastructure aimed at facilitating convenient high-power charging for the growing number of electric vehicles across the UK, and to accelerate the adoption and transition to Electric Vehicles.

This project consisted of the installation of ABB power cabinets which can deliver 175kW DC or up to 350kW DC in dynamic charging mode, and the installation of 12no ABB T175 (175/350kW) high-powered chargers with the capacity of supplying up to 350kW directly to your EV vehicle.

We were responsible for the installation of Gridserve’s bespoke extra low voltage communication system (SCADA) which monitors a number of safety features, ensuring reliable safety for their customers.

The site was connected to the distribution network with an import connection. These works were carried out by one of our ICP partners and included all civils works including trenching, ducting for external services, formation of the charging area, together with paths, paving, kerbs, bollards and parking bays to facilitate the installation of the Electric Hub include a package sub-station, power supplies. We liaised closely with the ICP to ensure that all key milestones were met.
